About Directory
We were tired of dating apps holding people emotionally hostage in the name of profit. So we made Directory with the intention of connecting real people and disrupting the dating app hegemony.
Directory is a social app that connects users with local people that share interests. There's no algorithm, no games, and no fees.
Directory uses a custom tagging system. Any user can add new hobbies, relationship types, fandoms, kinks and more! With custom tags you can find serious partners, casual hookups, soccer buddies, DnD friends, a cofounder, or just an interesting acquaintance.
Representation
With our custom tagging system, everyone can create and search on custom tags.
Users First
Your data is never bought or sold and you can easily delete your account and data from our servers at any time.
Not For Profit
Be assured that our funding is not directly opposed to our users having fulfilling social lives and getting off the app!
Development Status
Directory is currently in development and will launch soon in the North Carolina Triangle area. With enough funding and users, we hope to expand to other cities!
